Orchestra Lagrandt plays Haydn & Mozart
Joël Geniet, cello
Ian Plasker, conductor
Orchestra Lagrandt presents a light and exhilarating program of works by Haydn and Mozart. Mozart’s "Eine kleine Nachtmusik", published nearly 30 years after his death, is one of the most iconic works of the Classical era. We’re delighted to offer an entirely unique interpretation on historical instruments.
French cellist Joël Geniet joins us to perform Haydn’s virtuosic C major Cello Concerto. We close the program with Haydn’s early symphonic masterpiece, "Le Matin". Both works were composed for the orchestra of Prince Nicolaus Esterházy.
WA Mozart: String Serenade in G major, "Eine kleine Nachtmusik"
FJ Haydn: Cello Concerto in C major with soloist Joël Geniet
FJ Haydn: Symphony No. 6 "Le Matin"
