Netherlands Mandolin Chamber Orchestra
Make it stand out
On Saturday, 20 May, the Netherlands Mandolin Chamber Orchestra will return to Amsterdam to what in recent years has become the ensemble’s regular concert podium in Amsterdam: the English Church in the Begijnhof.
This ensemble, directed by Alex Timmerman, is internationally known for its innovation, virtuosity, and above all the unity of sound they achieve with their Italian Embergher mandolins.
During this free lunch concert they will play music by Mozart and Fujikake. In addition two soloists will be featured:
Sebastiaan de Grebber in the Mandolin Concerto in D by Johannes Colizzi, and Jan Bartlema in the Alamanda by Annette Kruisbrink.
Free Concert begins at 13:00
A free-will collection will be taken at the door afterwards.
