Play Strings Academy is a thriving specialist music school based in Colchester, Essex, UK. The school is run by violinist Melinda Greenfield and her husband, cellist James Greenfield. Nurturing local talent, Play Strings offers classes in musicianship and stringed instruments to students from the very young to post diploma level. In 2024, the students travelled to Belgium to perform at venues in Ghent and Bruges. Their concert at the English Reformed church on 1st November, will include music by Mozart, Dvorak, Elgar and Purcell.
