Taplow Girls' Choir was formed in 2004, providing excellence in choral training to girls aged 10-15. The choir prepares for local concerts each term, as well as bigger events further afield. They sing Choral Evensong annually at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle and have performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Christmas concerts at The Royal Albert Hall in London. Taplow Girls' Choir has enjoyed several European tours in the past and is delighted to be able to launch another one – this time to The Netherlands.
Conductor Gillian Dibden, MBE, trained at The Royal College of Music. After 20 years of classroom teaching and many prizes with her school choirs in national and international competitions, Gillian moved on to become the first Head of Vocal and Choral studies for the Berkshire Young Musicians Trust. This led to more awards and prizes, including the title "Choral Conductor of the Year" and, in 2009, an MBE bestowed by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for services to choral music for young people.
