H4H Kerkenpad Sept. 10, 2026
This year we are putting the musical history and tradition of the English Church in the Begijnhof in the spotlight, with special attention to our two magnificent organs, both built by the world-famous organ builder Flentrop. We begin the day in Zaandam. There we will split into two groups to visit the two Flentrop workshops: the pipe workshop in Zaandam and the cabinet maker in Koog aan de Zaan. We come together again for a delicious lunch in the heart of Zaandam, followed by the second session with tours of the Flentrop workshops. We will switch the two groups so that everyone experiences everything. We come together again and travel back to Amsterdam by train, where we take a look behind the scenes at the organs in the English Church. There we can see and listen to the beautiful results and everything we earlier saw and learned at Flentrop. After a day full of music, we conclude with a short blessing and communal singing.
