FREE Lunch Concert by Carlo Aonzo & the Mandolin Chamber Orchestra Het CONSORT
conducted by Alex Timmerman
On Saturday, March 28, 2026, renowned Italian mandolin virtuoso Carlo Aonzo will perform a special concert with the Mandolin Chamber Orchestra Het CONSORT, conducted by Alex Timmerman. The program features two original concertos for mandolin solo and orchestra, featuring Carlo Aonzo as soloist.
First, the elegant Mandolin Concerto by the late 18th-century composer Johann Andreas Kauchlitz Colizzi will be performed. He will then play the Concerto OIPA' for mandolin solo and mandolin orchestra by the Italian composer Salvatore Della Vecchia. This new work, composed especially for Carlo Aonzo and the CONSORT, will be performed for the first time during this concert. This is a unique opportunity to experience these compositions live.
The program also features compositions by Antonio Vivaldi, Raffaele Calace, and Stephan Rak, among others. All in all, a concert that fully showcases the mandolin's versatility and the richness of its repertoire.
Everyone is very welcome!
Admission: Free; donations are welcome after the concert.
