Dear Friends

"Good and evil under God's heaven... "

The Bible is very realistic: It acknowledges that people are not just nice by default. It actually reminds us as well that even we ourselves are not just nice... (always). There are those moments when our 'ego' distorts our behavior in ways we would in other moments rather not have it interfere, but it does! What we can learn from Biblical reflection is: People of God should be clear in identifying what is right and what is wrong, what supports people in growing more human and what contradicts that or turns into oppression. And be personal! There is no "hidden evil power" behind or out of people, but there can be structural evil (and good). Both evil and good are always acts of people, and thus they have names and faces, as much as we may believe that there is always more to be said of a person than can be read in his/her doing! This is a reality we have to deal with as people of God, as well in times of fake news, fabricated images and distorted perspectives on what is 'real'. Biblical wisdom and Jesus’ teaching can instruct us and call us to a responsible life. Come and hear!
